Ondel -ondel

      

Is a pair of giant puppets representing a man and a woman in traditional clothes of Jakarta. Each of them is lifted by one person from the inside of the puppet. Ondel-ondel can be found at Monas park, the Old City, and is often performed in festivals.

Usually, the male puppet’s face is painted red, while the female puppet’s face is painted white.

Both the male and female has colourful hairs.

This is a male Ondel-ondel in black colour cloth with red face.
